Chinese numbers 10-99
Before reading this guide, please familiarise yourself with the basic Chinese numbers first.

Ten to nineteen
Unlike English (10), Chinese does not have two digits to represent ten. Instead, it has a nice simple two-stroke character:
From ten to nineteen, simply use the shí character, followed by the unit:
Fourteen is a particular challenge to pronounce for English speakers - shi2 si4, somewhat reminiscent of the English "She sells sea shells" tongue twister!
Twenty to twenty-nine
Twenty is simply "two tens":
