Saying Hello

Hello in Mandarin is simply ni3 hao3, literally "you good":

For more than one person, you can use the plural ni3 men5:

Saying goodbye

"Goodbye" in Mandarin has the same meaning as "au revoir" in French - "until we meet again!":

You can add the word for "tomorrow" 23688明天míng tiān/tomorrow/ ​ to make "see you tomorrow":

The Chinese even have a special word for the cumbersome English expression "the day after tomorrow":
